goodbye winter! hello sandals and dresses!

spring

As I blogged it HERE, today, March 21 is the 1st official full day of spring! Yahoo! Everybody in the east coast is probably waiting for winter to be over. But yesterday, March 20 is when Equinox happened or the day when the rays of the sun changed it's direction at the equator. So to everyone, take out those sandals, havis, flipflops and shorts and dresses. Join me as I say hello to sunshine! Enjoy the rest of Springtime!

blow by blow

Before hubby and I hit the sack, we had THIS for dessert. I am confused now. But this man is really smart and wise (JOY eh?) heheheh! It's enough proof to inform B.I.R. of all his receipts of funds wires, abangan ang susunod na kabanata! And like how my son's Dr. Seuss The Big Foot leapbook would end the story, toddleloo! to everyone. Till our next kahindik hindik na pagbabasa!

decluttering entry#2 (reduce the stress)

An Angel says, "Never borrow from the future. If you worry about what may happen tomorrow and it doesn't happen, you have worried in vain. Even if it does happen, you have to worry twice." ---THIS IS SOOO ME, I am a certified worry wart! naku naku, time for change.

1. Pray
2. Go to bed on time. (on time for me is 2-3am LOL!)
3. Get up on time so you can start the day unrushed.
4. Say No to projects that won't fit into your time schedule, or that will compromise your mental health.
5. Delegate tasks to capable others.
6. Simplify and unclutter your life.
7. Less is more. (Although one is often not enough, two are often too many.)
8. Allow extra time to do things and to get to places.
9. Pace yourself. Spread out big changes and difficult projects over time; don't lump the hard things all together.
10. Take one day at a time.
11. Separate worries from concerns. If a situation is a concern, find out what God would have you do and let go of the anxiety. If you can't do anything about a situation, forget it. Remember worry is a sin! "cast your cares unto the lord" is a VERB.
12. Live within your budget; don't use credit cards for ordinary purchases.
13. Have backups; an extra car key in your wallet, an extra house key buried in the garden, extra stamps, etc.
14 K.M.S. (Keep Mouth Shut). This single piece of advice can prevent an enormous amount of trouble. NO GRUMBLING. NO COMPLAINING. Ask the Holy Spirit to remind you everytime you begin to grumble or complain.
15. Do something for the Kid in You everyday.
16. Carry a Bible with you to read while waiting in line.
17. Get enough rest.
18. Eat right.
19. Get organized so everything has its place.
20. Listen to an inspirational tape while driving, keep the word of God in your heart and ears.
21. Write down thoughts and inspirations.
22. Every day, find time to be alone.
23. Having problems? Talk to God on the spot. Try to nip small problems in the bud. Don't wait until it's time to go to bed to try and pray.
24. Make friends with Godly people.
25. Keep a folder of favorite scriptures on hand.
26. Remember that the shortest bridge between despair and hope is often a good "Thank you Jesus."
27. Laugh and love.
28. Laugh some more!
29. Take your work seriously, "work unto the Lord" with excellence.
30. Develop a forgiving attitude (most people are doing the best they can) QUICKLY . Repent immediately, put it under the blood and go on with your day!
31. Be kind to unkind people (they probably need it the most).
32. Sit on your ego. Don't get up!
33. Talk less; listen more.
34 Slow down.
35. Remind yourself that you are not the General manager of the universe.
36 . Every night before bed, think of one thing you're grateful for that you've never been grateful for before.

GOD HAS A WAY OF TURNING THINGS AROUND FOR YOU. "If God is for us, who can be against us?" (Romans 8:31)

purple money

Read THIS. Isn't this the coolest thing Abraham Lincoln will wear my favorite color, PURPLE! As reported by YAHOO News, "It's the latest in a series of redesigned notes aimed at foiling phony-money makers, who over the years have grown increasingly sophisticated." But of course, our PhP100.00 is much purplish than this. The color PURPLE loves to make moolah and so do I.

Blogging Buzz #1 (the malu fernandez article on blogging)

Have you read this? Nagulat ako, nagsusulat pa pala siya!

Anyhoo, here's the rest of the article which was quoted by Bryan Boy as Malu Fernandez thinks blogging is a slacker job! I truly love Bryan, despite his hilariousness and what-nots, you find essence in every entry he writes. Magaling talaga! Like all the other gayfriends in my life, very very witty!

to quote the infamous Malu Fernandez:
So let me continue, first of all I believe in the freedom of speech. By all means say what you need to say. Unfortunately for most of the bloggers without advertising you get paid nothing. If in fact you do get paid then hooray for you. But blogging, aside from Perez Hilton and the other big time bloggers (you know who you are) is for me a slacker job or a medium and pastime for lonely people to connect. Unless you’re in bloody Siberia or in a Gulag prison, try stepping outside your comfort zone and turn off the laptop or pc, you just might find some real live people to talk to instead of typing away in cyber space.

I refuse to post her photo here, totally not worthy. What do you think about HER article blogging buddies?

why do women have 2 hands?

So babe, stop arguing ok? LOL! Even without those plastics, my right hand can still survive. For everything else, there's PAYPAL.

something serious? T-I-M-E.

Good Morning everyone!

After 3 days of sleeping early/killing the insomniac in me (with some serious and forceful pulling to bed c/o hubby), I feel rejuvenated. Which explains series of funny entries LOL! So, here's some serious post to begin my overloaded week. I woke up feeling confused when I checked my notebook clock it says 10:30 but the clock is an hour delayed. Here's comes DST time again.

According to this ARTICLE:
Daylight Saving Time Extended by Four Weeks in U.S. Starting in 2007
On Sunday, March 9 (the second Sunday in March) at 2 a.m., Daylight Saving Time begins in the United States. This is the second year that Daylight Saving Time is four weeks longer due to the passage of the Energy Policy Act in 2005. The Act, which extends Daylight Saving Time by four weeks from the second Sunday of March to the first Sunday of November, is expected to save 10,000 barrels of oil each day through reduced use of power by businesses during daylight hours.
Every spring we move our clocks one hour ahead and "lose" an hour during the night and each fall we move our clocks back one hour and "gain" an extra hour. But Daylight Saving Time (and not Daylight Savings Time with an "s") wasn't just created to confuse our schedules.
The phrase "Spring forward, fall back" helps people remember how Daylight Saving Time affects their clocks.

So there you go, change your body clocks with me. Have a good week ahead.

the FUTURE in BLOGGING

I was chatting with a blogging buddy some few weeks ago about the future of blogging. She even asked me if I wanted to be a contributor in a beauty blog. I have often hear and read that blogging is the future. In 5 years time, almost everyone in our generation will have at least 1 blog and half of them will be earning from it. Isn't that truly amazing?

Anyways, going back to our chat which ended at 4am. She told me about someone who is actually earning sooo much just because of blogging. So the curios side of me made me wide awake till 7am the next day. I researched, surfed and surfed and discovered that there are really a lot of people making more than $10k a month purely by blogging! Of course, the very famous Perez Hilton only started out as a personal blogger and look at where he is now.

Blogging these days can be collaborated to the "New Marketing". Designer brands such as Gucci and Chanel have been inviting pro bloggers to their important events: read:runway shows, campaigns etc... and they treat these pro-bloggers as special as some very important fashion critique. They usually get the best seats in fashion shows! WOW!

Almost everyone is targeting the online market. Who wouldn't? And bloggers are the strongest when it comes to expressing their own POVs. With everyone making their own sites, expressing themselves in their own blogs and getting in touch through internet network sites, a big shift is happening.

What I'm trying to say here is as long as you enjoy blogging, go ahead do it but be wary of the blogging ethics when writing. Say, acknowledge quotes, pictures you are using in your blog entries. When I started blogging in 2004, I am not truly aware of all these. I started to blog in the year when blogging was just starting to become a hit, I got pregnant at that time and as a 1st-time mom, I wanted to record every single thing that pregnancy changed in me as well as every milestone my son makes as he grows up hence the birth of http://em.wifespeaks.com. Then my blogroll list grew bigger and memes are popping out of nowhere so the birth of this detour site.

In the next few days I am coming out with a 3rd blog (i can hear people throwing shout outs at me: "ADDICT LOL!"), and yes I have become an addict in blogging more LOLz! But this 3rd blog is something I really like, some skill I have no means to express now as a make-up artist. I will share every knowledge I learn through the years on beauty, grooming, make-up and any vanities that keep every woman beautiful and purely sane. I will also feature local make-up artists, when I say local: I'm saying Philippines. I'm still doing a lot of weaking here and there and I promise to tell you first. I am really excited about it. So for now, let's all be happy and merry with our blogosphere! Happy Monday to everyone! toodles.

Hubby just loves his painting that he wanted to purchase one right away.

the "DETOUR" trend

Most of my blogging buddies who are into paidblogging have more than 1 blog to double the OPPS and income as well. So I decided to make this 2nd Blog of Mine, which I refer to as my "Detour Site", meaning a completely different approach or a shift from the things that I don't write in my Personal Blog. I was surprised when other blogging buddies have started referring to their 2nd blog as their Detour Blogs, nakakatuwa promise, parang I created a trend in naming their 2nd blogs. It's so nice when you start a trend and they become part of a lingo, a blogging lingo!

Some snippets: Mama Mee and I were chatting the other day and she was telling me about her thoughts on resurrecting her blogspot blog. And when I asked what the URL was she replied: "Detour sya ems: http://_____.blogspot.com. Hangkyot!

See what I mean? lavet gurls!

buy shoes at shoe buy

I super highly mega recommend Shoebuy.com. Today, my Crocs orders arrived after exactly 2 days of online request. And remember, there is no shipping charges nor taxes added on your orders. I am one happy crocs addict! The grape Alice Crocs is a must-have shoe for every purple lover, a very very fashion statement staple shoe! The picture don't give justice to it's real color, it's almost like eggplant violet in color.

Frii tournament.

As I was checking my friendster account, my attention was caught by the Guitar Hero tournament ad posted by Carol (whom is actually the model in my profile picture, she was one of the most prettiest faces I have worked on and this make-up was very gruelling but she was very patient). Anyhoo, they have a blog where you could visit: http://www.friispirit.blogspot.com/, this group holds Guitar Hero tournaments. Sayang kung nasa pinas ako, I will definitely join this group hahah! Next to Wii, I really love playing Guitar Hero. I never learned to play the actual guitar but with this game console, I can be the rock star that I wanna be. Chinx, I am still looking forward to that day that we play Wii 24/7 and Ninong Kirl Jude, asan na ang Wii? LOL!
