dresses for the pretty tots.

Since a number of my blogging buddies and friends are on the way with their 2nd bundle of joys and majority of them are carrying baby girls, I thought of posting these cutie dresses. Whenever I shop for mini-Stripe, I end up clicking the girls page. Oh how I really hope and pray that my 2nd baby will be a girl. We are not yet ready to have another child, not this year or the next, maybe in 2010.

AE plaid shorts and Heart Evangelista

I got this promo campaign email from American Eagle Outfitter, one of my favorite streetwear shops. Then, yesterday while strolling on the mall, I passed by their shops and saw different ads with this model. Don't you think she looks so much like Heart Evangelista? I do think so.

I was almost tempted to buy these plaid shorts especially the floral shorts yesterday but hubby had to stop me not only because we need to prioritize stuff for the apartment but more of because I got the same blue plaid shorts from IZOD last week. Hee! Anyhoo, they're still on 60% clearance sale both online and onstore! Shop now, if you have extra moolah for some shorts shopping spree!

Lot 8 Boutique.

Do you remember her? Yes, she's the Chloe Dao of Project Runway 2 Big Winner. From all the designers who joined or won Project Runway, she's the only designer whom clothes I would wear. It depicts my feminine taste of clothing and her styles are very classic too, not too loud, not too designerish. I chanced upon her online store, called Lot 8. She has a shop and a salon in Houston and is planning to expand in the bigger cities of New York and L.A. Here are my current picks from her collections (I just wish I have the body for these clothes!!!), though her site seems not to be updated. But, nevertheless, it's worth your visit.

shorts season

I know it's Spring and summer is just around the corner. But, if you are in the East Coast, you can still feel the cold winds every so often making it impossible to wear baby tees, tank tops and shorts and other light clothing. Last weekend, when we visited our future crib to check on the bathroom faucet, lighting fixtures and other stuff, I braved the cold wind and wore shorts for the 1st time here! I felt a little cold towards the end of the day since we spent a couple more hours in the playground with mini-stripe, but otherwise, I survived. So, I told hubby to bring me to that cheap store which sells very beautiful but affordable cargo shorts, similar to my current Gap Shorts eyecandies:

back to school wardrobe by MJ

I remembered my mom during my younger years, she had this catalog filled with children's dresses and carefully chose my every piano recital wardrobe. We would go to the mananahi together and had my new dress made by her suking mananahi. I was always excited and delighted as I had very unique dress in every piano recital. I remembered her favorite styles for me was a reminiscent of the retro look, the above the knee dress, the empire cut and styled with a big bow or flower. I miss those days!

I was flipping some Marc by Marc Jacobs Dresses and Eyelove his Primary School Retro-Inspired Runway Collection. Here are my eye candies from that collection:

Jacquard Clover Dress
patent pea coat
Alessandra Bow Dress
Mayfair Squares Dress
Wild Cherry Silk blouse
