ANTM Cycle 11: Are you Ready For this?

If I could throw some virtual shout-out, that would go to my co-ANTM addict/blogging friends VAL & VANNIE!!!

I so can't wait for ANTM Cycle 10 which will premiere on September 3, 2008!!! with a 2-hour premiere, TFC babye na hahaha!!! (sorry I couldn't stop myself from typing so many exclamation points LOL!) Here are some bits and pieces of the new cycle that we are all awaiting: (SOURCE: wikipedia)

• The winner will win management and representation by Elite Model Management, a $100,000 contract with CoverGirl cosmetics, and a cover and six-page fashion spread in Seventeen magazine.
• The promotional catchphrase of the cycle is "Feel The Love".
• The international destination for this cycle is Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

And here is the most awaited part: This cycle includes (for the 1st time!) a transgendered contestant to qualify in the 14 finalists. This is something to watch out for.

So, the rumors that the show has gone to a new management is so so not true as the 4 judges are still the same: Tyra, Paulina, Miss J., and (my) Nigel LOL!

ANTM cycle 10 episode 12-Finally SHE's GONE! and my other discoveries...

Here's my very delayed ANTM entry for this week.

In summary:
FINALLY, Dominique was booted out yahoo! Can't wait for her to leave and I have to agree with Ms. J that she's half man hahahah! I was laughing the entire time when he said that Cover Girl covers the man in a woman LOL! Dominique really looks like a man. I am so proud of Whitney for doing really good in this week's photoshoot, finally a plus-sized model in the final battle. She really has the prettiest face.

After hating Dominique so much during the entire cycle, I discovered these series of interview of girls booted out in YouTube. And yes, I was delighted with her interview, she was after all an all-natural kind of girl and could inject humor in her witty remarks. She also got her extensions back which made her look less-manly. So, make-overs in ANTM are not really the best afterall.

I am also posting Katarzyna's interview. She is still the boring person we know and what's up with her hair and her choice of clothes color (earth colors ALL THE TIME, which elaborates her dull personality) and I guess she lost a lotta weight.

ANTM's (my) NIGEL (WAS in Manila!!!).

I survived my Midterms, oh yes I did! So, after the gruelling and nerve-wracking week, I am just glad that the week's about to end. TGIF indeed! While I was having a very neat breakfast with stripe and mini-stripe this morning, I was sooooo overly surprised to hear Nigel Barker mentioning her experience with an avid fan in Manila in TODAY's Tyra Show! Holy Cow! How could I've missed this scoop tsk tsk. Sayang wala nako sa Manila, I could have probably lined up at the Ayala mall and took a photo with him LOL! The fan apparently showed Nigel a tattoed picture of him on the fan's left or right arm?!??! The fan is a HE by the way, a photographer I think. Anyways, here's Sam Oh's interview of Nigel Barker during his visit in Manila. Sam is so conscious and uneasy, I would have been too, with Nigel talking to me and staring me at the eye sigh.

And yes, next week is the final battle of ANTM's Cycle 10 yahoo! I'm going to blog about this week's episode and some more inside scoop tomorrow, I am just too sleepy right now.

Tyra can get so cheesy and overkill sometime. But, I guess she just have a lot of energy and has always been pretty passionate with what she does best, producing and hosting. While you-tube-ing today, I found this funny video of Joel Mchale of Talk Soup making fun of that specific interview of Tyra with Alicia Keys LOL!

ANTM cycle 10 episode 11-brainies are not for modelling.

Disappointed, that's what I am after watching this week's episode of ANTM.
Why? Because one of my top 3 was the out girl.
Who is she? KATARZYNA, that is. The girl who has a degree from an Ivy League school. One of the prettiest contenders.

I was laughing the entire time when Jay, Paulina and Tyra were arguing that Katarzyna tends to over-analyze her poses all the time because she thinks too much, she brain-processes everything everytime. Then Tyra said that's why there are not much of brainy models, because modelling sphere makes model looks dumb, or worst the dumber you are the better, say Anya for instance LOL. uhuh.
Bye bye Katarzyna, Go Anya, Go Fatima! Whitney, I do not want you to be booted out next week so bring it on and let Dominique be the out girl. Dominique looks too old for modelling. I will be very excited if Whitney will be part of the top 2! Conventional models move over as plus-size model, Whitney will change that perception.

ANTM cycle 10 episode 10-Cover Girl TVC in ITALIAN.

ANTM is getting to be more and more predictable as the show hits the final last 5 episodes. I knew all along, even last week, that LAUREN would be the out girl on this 10th episode and SO she was eliminated this week and was sent back to US. In some ways, I felt that she really gave up on the competition even before the competition gave up on her. At some point in my Make-Up career, that happened to me. Because, make-up eats a lot of your time and I am a mother, I have to limit the time I could give on this passion of mine, so I decided to limit the opportunities that are on my way. But, I am happy with the way things are happening for me...Still, I think Lauren will make it big someday, somehow, just minimize all her weirdness and she'll come a long way.

This week's episode: They made a TV commercial for Cover Girl BUT they have to speak in Italian. Katarzyna, having to speak 4 other languages got the best Italian accent from among the contenders. Although, Fatima had the best performance. And Anya won the week's challenge. So you see my top 3 are going to really make it!!! I think next week, Dominique will be out then Whitney. Hee!

ANTM cycle 10 episode 9-THE MISSED FLIGHT

As I have previously said, things got really busy and so, here I am wide awake at 5am on a Saturday morning, watching the rerun of ANTM Cycle 10 EPISODE 9 in you tube!!! Hihihi! I

I was so proud that my top 3 made it and they are all going to the overseas destination: ROME! together with 3 other girls. My top 3: (Katarzyna, Fatima and Anya) are all doing very very well.

Here are the highlights: Fatima missed the photoshoot because she was a refugee without a travel document. On the day of the photoshoot, she was on the consulate office for an interview to get her travel document. The judges believed in her bodyform that's why they chose her to stay despite not having a picture.

Anya won the week's challenge, she did a one-on-one photoshoot with 7-up and received a whopping USD10k!!! She's making it to the top2, it's very obvious that the judges adore her.

Whitney despited being a plus-sized model made it this far!

THE OUT GIRL: Stacey Ann, I never really liked her and thought that she doesn't have a tiny weeny bit of being a top model. But you know what, I cried with her. It's double whammy to be eliminated on the week before the overseas destination.

So there you go, see you all next week in Rome but for now, I'm off doing my 20+++ tags!

ANTM cycle 10 episode 8-THE RECAP

This week's ANTM episode was boring because NO ONE GOT ELIMINATED!!! It was a recap show. Good thing as I wasn't able to watch the show, I was frikkin studying hard that night for my thursday class! I am starting to think that my top 3 is going to be really the top 3!!! yay!

Only one thing is exciting about this never-before-seen recap episode was when Marvita walked around naked which of course this youtube video is also edited and you wouldn't see anything of Marvita's private parts. But for the curios, you can watch the video below.

Only 7 girls left, who are your choices? I wish this to be over, though.

ANTM cycle 10 episode 7-THE LIGHT NYMPHS

As usual, things got very busy and I had to post this very late. Tsk tsk.

Last Wednesday's ANTM photoshoot was exciting. The models came out bare with no make-up. All they need was their talent and skill in modelling. The had to lie flat on some plastic canvass with very little water, play with their movements, the lights and plenty of cloth. I can see how tiring they were in the entire photoshoot and how st*pid of Claire to dive on some flat surface tsk tsk. If Whitney wasn't plus-size, she'll make it to the top. But apparently, a designer even told her in her face that they do not hire plus-size model for their fashion showa as well as her designs don't cater to plus-size women, WTH?!?!? Anyways, Whitney still has the most beautiful face I have ever seen from all the ANTM contenders for the past 9 cycles including this.

THE OUT GIRL: CLAIRE, it was very obvious. She was the center of the episode. That's the clue, ANTM addicts, when you see someone being always interviewed or talked about the whole time in the episode, definitely, they will kick her out! I can't wait for this cycle to be over, sa totoo lang. Watch the very brave and very grace under pressure, eliminated girl, Claire, very opposite of what she showed last week when she was at the bottom 2.

ANTM cycle 10 episode 6 -THE GANGSTERS and THE SWEETHEARTS.

Things got busy hence the late posting of this ANTM update.

Last week's episode was a big revelation of true characters, that's why I have to re-do my top 3 for the nth time! It took them 6 long weeks to show their true colors. There were 3 monkeys named, Monkey #1: Claire, Monkey #2:Lauren, and Monkey #3:Whitney. I don't think it was necessary for them to gang up on Dominique, it was so childlike and childish all rolled into gangsters! I really love these 3 girls, but I guess in this type of competition and with Tyra in the judging seat, character is of importance. Lauren is really good but I know she is a bit of different verging on the psycho side and she is turning out to be one especially on next week's episode teaser, watch out!

The Bottom 2: Claire and hubby's crush: Aimee. I was booting for Aimee but it was soo obvious that she flanked the DIVA photoshoot, tsk tsk. Claire is modelesque but she doesn't need to make that PROUD stance when Tyra announced her name sayang, she was in my 1st top 3 list. So the out girl was AIMEE.

The Sweethearts: Finally, my top 3 are: (even if they are not that outstanding when it comes to runways and shoots, I know they have been consistent) KATARZYNA, FATIMA and ANYA, because she got to pose nude for my biggest crush: NIGEL BARKER lolz!

...i used to hope that Whitney will make it as the 1st plus-sized model ANTM winner, but after this episode, I stopped hoping. Watch the elimination video. Ciao! Till next Wednesday.

ANTM cycle 10 episode 5 -THE UNshaved armpits, THE catfights and THE 2nd TIMER.

This week's ANTM episode reminds me about a shoot I did with 3 models (more on that on my beauty blog). The concept was the same, I played with a lot of colors and paints and what-have-yous. I lavet! NY is becoming a boring location for the models, though.

Anyhoo, Fatima's UNSHAVED armpits are soooo yucky! My goodness! More than the shaving, I think it needs a lot of scrubbing and a little of bleaching. It looks really gross! Check out this video below.

I have totally scrapped out my TOP 3 which I listed on my Cycle 10 Premiere entry. The girls are just so unpredictable, one episode this girl is so good the next thing she'll be on the bottom two. The only girl who has a constant place in my TOP 3 is Claire, I even think she'll make it in TOP 2. Probably next week, I'll be able to name 2 other contenders to be part of my TOP 3.

THE BOTTOM 2: Whitney has a pretty face and she's totally hot for a plus size model, but her character turns me off. This week's out girl is MARVITA. She's a second timer, she had to leave the show the 1st time she joined due to some anger management problem. With all the anxiety and depression she has (and a little of psychological therapies she undergone), she seemed to be really nice. I like what she said before leaving the show, "I'll just keep on knocking and knocking until someone answers".

ANTM cycle 10 episode 4 -THE ANTICIPATION.

This week's ANTM episode was a bit boring. AMIS, the eliminated girl is so predictable that she will be the out girl this week, watch the video below. AND I think I'm changing my TOP 3, I'll make my decision after next week's episode, though. Can't wait for next wednesday, some steamingly hot catfight LOLz!

ANTM cycle 10 episode 3 -THE MAKEOVER.

Because I was too busy fixing my upcoming beauty blog and that Wordpress Domain Mapping glitch, I missed this episode. How could I miss the MAKEOVER Episode! But, I was able to watch the full version in where else, You Tube.

This cycle's HAIR makeover were way over the top, they made the blondes black and the black blondes, did a lot of hair weaving and extensions! poor poor cycle 10 contenders!

Stacey Ann is a cutie when she said to Tyra's portrait these words: "Pls. don't shave my hair, Tyra!". They didn't shave her hair BUT she got a very short hair cut LOL!

Who got eliminated? OMG! I didn't know that one of my top 3 is all b*tchy and rude! So we all say a good riddance to Allison! Bye bye Allison, you don't deserve to be on my top 3 slot! With this episode, it goes to show that attitude is more important than experience. My top 2 is still intact: The Ivy League graduate and the Girl who was circumcised in Somalia, since Allison is out, I'm adding up this alien looking girl who knows how to apply make-up in my Top 3!

Watch how Allison crumbled down when she got eliminated. It's so hard to be all confident and proud and hear your name being called as this episode's OUT girl.

ANTM cycle 10 episode 2 -THE TWIST

I am back with vengeance! I know this is 2 days delayed, but what can I do, our server shuts down on me.

Kim is the it girl! She quitted! But at least she's honest! And I love the reaction on Tyra's face, lol pikon na pikon! You know Tyra, not everyone like you is OVERLY passionate about modelling, so don't take it against yourself. AND sometimes they just find out that out of passion into modelling discovery on the contest itself. I love Tyra but sometimes she's overkill and O-A. When someone quits, not all of them are quitters, but some are more of self discovery.

Watch the "quitter" and the 1st girl (sayang she's sweet and pretty pa naman!) who got eliminated on this video.

Because Paulina Poriskova is the newest judge, hubby wants to date a model na daw! My goodness lol! I have to agree though that she is STILL VERY gorgeous at her age! My top 3 still stands high yahoo!

ANTM cycle 10 winners and premiere

I was soo waiting for this Cycle and here's what I have to say about the premiere show.

I was a bit disappointed at first because it was full of catfights and screaming girls! Not to mention that I find the school-theme-set-up a bit Hogwarts-imitation corny lol! But then again, as the show ended, the girls personalities get more interesting. I already have my top 3: I am booting for The girl who undergone circumsion in Somalia, the girl who graduated from an Ivy League school and a girl with the prettiest face! Let's see if I change my mind.

Oh Yes I am! I just finished watching all the reruns of America's Next Top Model Cycles 1-9. Hubby said I looked crazy watching them over and over again. haha! I wanted to recap everything before Cycle 10 premieres on Wednesday, yes, you heard me! ANTM Season 10 will premiere on Wednesday, February 20 and I just can't wait for it.

I still think Jaslene Gonzalez doesn't deserve to win ANTM Cycle 8 or any other seasons, she looks so "dugyot" (sama ko hahah!).
